Dr Lu is a vitreoretinal surgeon with expertise in the medical and surgical management of macular and retinal conditions, including intravitreal injections therapy and cataract surgery.
Vicky is also fluent in Mandarin and Hokkien
Vicky studied medicine at the University of New South Wales. She obtained her specialist ophthalmology training through Sydney Eye Hospital Network and is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists (RANZCO).
She completed three international fellowships in tertiary ophthalmic centres in vitreoretinal surgery (Singapore National Eye Centre, Singapore; Manchester Royal Eye Infirmary, United Kingdom) and medical retina (Moorfields Eye Hospital, United Kingdom).
She was then invited to work as a vitreoretinal specialist in the National Health Service where she provided care to patients with acute and long term vitreoretinal and comprehensive ophthalmic conditions.

Vicky holds an honorary academic position at the University of Sydney. She is actively involved in research in collaboration with international centres and has several publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is dedicated to teaching registrars, optometrists, GP and primary care stakeholders.
Vicky has a Masters of Public Health and remains committed to international collaboration with colleagues in India, Singapore, USA and the UK.
Dr Vicky Lu is a Visiting Medical Officer at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
