Preparing for your consultation

  • Bring a list of your medicines, including supplements and blood thinners.
  • Note any allergies and any previous cosmetic treatments, with approximate dates.
  • Think about what you would like to discuss and any questions you have.
  • Let us know if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding.

What happens at a consultation

Every treatment at our clinic starts with a consultation in person with a registered medical practitioner. There is no obligation to go ahead with treatment.

1

Assessment

Your practitioner examines the area you are concerned about and reviews your medical history, medicines, allergies and any previous cosmetic treatments.

2

Your goals

You talk about what you would like to change and why, and what outcome is realistic for you.

3

Your options

Your practitioner explains the options that may suit you, including no treatment, with the benefits, risks, recovery and likely number of sessions for each.

4

Your plan and costs

If treatment is appropriate, you receive a personalised plan with the costs in writing. You are welcome to take time to think it over before giving consent.

Our Approach: Safety and Care

  • Medical practitioner led
Treatments are assessed, planned and performed by a registered medical practitioner.

  • Adults only
Cosmetic treatments at our clinic are only available to adults aged 18 and over.

  • Informed consent
You receive written information about your treatment, its risks and its cost before you consent.

  • Aftercare and follow-up
You receive written aftercare instructions and after-hours contact details after every treatment.

In accordance with Australian TGA advertising regulations, we encourage you to contact us for more detailed information on all our in-clinic treatment offerings, and book in for a consultation for a personalised treatment plan tailored to you.

All treatments carry risks

Any cosmetic procedure that involves an injection or a device carries risks, such as pain, swelling, bruising, infection and allergic reaction, as well as some rare but serious complications. Recovery time varies by treatment. Results vary between people and cannot be guaranteed. Your practitioner will explain the risks and recovery that apply to you at your consultation

Not every treatment suits everyone. Book a consultation with Dr Au to talk about your skin and the options that may suit you.
